Suhas Madhukar Khamkar is an international professional bodybuilder from India. He was born and brought up in Kolhapur. Suhas comes from a family of fitness experts and bodybuilders, native of Kolhapur region. Suhas’s inspiration for body building can be traced back to his home town Kolhapur where he grew up watching many wrestlers and body builders. His brother Sunil Khamkar was also a bodybuilder and his father Madhukar Khamkar, and grandfather are also wrestler (Pehelwan as it’s called in Maharashtra), so the atmosphere at his house were related to fitness. Therefore he started workout from his school days.

His father was forcing him to learn and take up wresting as a profession, but Suhas wanted to do something different and new so he followed the foot step of his brother and took up bodybuilding.

He was an employee of Central Railway of India, Suhas Khamkar is the first Indian Bodybuilder to win a national level gold medal in the Railways national competitions. Also Suhas is the First Indian bodybuilder to Become Mr. Asia in 2010. He was placed second in amateur Mr. Olympia 2012 which was held at Kuwait.

Suhas Khamkar is the only one athlete who has the continuity of winning for 12 years in body building sports. Suhas is the only one who got special star award in bodybuilding.
